NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen Setup on PS5 (Step by Step)

Last updated:

Getting an NBA 2K27 script live on PS5 takes roughly ten minutes. The Cronus Zen holds the script; the PS5 just sees a normal controller. Xbox and PC follow the same flow apart from which USB port you use.

  1. 1. Install Zen Studio

Grab Zen Studio on a PC or Mac and plug the Cronus Zen in through the USB-C PROG port — not the console-facing port.

  2. 2. Update the Zen firmware

Zen Studio will prompt you if it's behind. Do this before flashing anything — most 'script won't work' complaints trace back to old firmware.

  3. 3. Flash the script to a slot

Open the Dime file in Zen Studio, compile it, and program it to a free slot. Remember the slot number.

  4. 4. Connect it to the PS5

Run the Zen's OUTPUT port into a PS5 USB port. Your DualSense plugs into the Zen's INPUT (A) port with a cable — Bluetooth won't work here.

  5. 5. Select the slot in game

Launch NBA 2K27, then cycle through Zen slots using the button combo from Zen Studio until you land on the script you flashed.

  6. 6. Re-flash after every patch

Each time 2K updates, download the latest weekly Dime build and re-program the slot. Outdated builds always feel off.

When nothing happens

  • • Controller connected over Bluetooth — it must be wired to the Zen.
  • • Ports reversed: OUTPUT feeds the console, INPUT takes the pad.
  • • Firmware or script build out of date — update both.
  • • Wrong slot selected once you're in game.
